When I think of New Year’s Eve parties, one of the first things that comes to mind is the punch. I don’t know why. And that punch should be sparkling. Because sparkly new year. So I made sparkling NYE punch. I wanted it to be light and refreshing, but still have some holiday spirit. So I used white cranberry juice instead of the regular kind. Technically I use white cranberry peach juice, because I couldn’t find plain white cranberry juice (Does that exist? Tell me where please.) I also added pear nectar, adding some complexity, but still keeping it light. Next is vodka, for a little kick, but not too heavy of a flavor. And of course it’s topped off with champagne. I’d suggest adding the champagne just before serving, or topping off the individual glasses. I’d say you don’t need to use the very best champagne for this, since it’s mixed. But still use a tasty one because you’ll definitely taste it.
