Sangria is good any time of the year in my book. So I figure, hey why not make one for Christmas! This Holiday Sangria has red wine, sparkling apple cider, orange liqueur, blood oranges, and cinnamon for a refreshing drink that’ll also keep you warm.
Holiday Red Wine Sangria
Ingredients
- 1 bottle red wine
- 1 bottle sparkling apple cider
- 1 c cranberry juice
- ¼ c brandy
- ¼ c Grand Marnier
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ c whole cranberries
- ½ c blackberries
- 2 oranges (sliced)
- 3 cinnamon sticks
Instructions
- In a large pitcher (or punch bowl) combine the red wine, brandy, maple syrup, cranberries, oranges, cinnamon sticks, and rosemary. Mix well, cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to come together. The longer it sits, the more the flavors marry, so I leave mine to sit overnight.Just before serving add the sparkling apple cider, stir to combine. Serve neat or over ice.
